What is air ambulance?
An air ambulance is an aircraft used for emergency medical assistance in situations where either a traditional ambulance cannot easily reach the scene or the patient needs to be repositioned at a distance where air transportation is most practical. Aircraft are outfitted with medical equipment to treat critically injured or ill patients.
What type of medical crew is provided with an air ambulance transfer?
Quality of care is our top priority. Typically, a Registered Nurse or ALS Paramedic attends the patient on-board the aircraft. Staffing is determined after a medical briefing by the medical director. Respiratory Therapists, Pediatric and NeoNatal Nurses, ICU certified Registered Nurses, and or Flight Physicians may be staffed if warranted by the patient's medical condition.
Does Global Air Rescue provide service to my location?
Global Air Rescue provides services to all continents except Antarctica. We can provide services to more airports worldwide than are reachable by commercial carriers.
Does Global Air Rescue provide international service?
Yes. Global Air Rescue can arrange for patient transport on a long-range aircraft or make arrangements for a stretcher to be placed on commercial aircraft using international carriers.
Which aircraft is right for me?
The medical director in consultation with the patient's doctor with recommend various medically appropriate options for the patient.
Can family members fly with the patient?
Our first priority is safety and comfort for the patient. Depending on the specific aircraft configuration and medical condition of the patient, a limited number of family members can travel with the patient. The medical director will make the decision after a full medical briefing.
How much notice do I need to arrange an air ambulance?
We can schedule an emergency medical transfer within hours.
How much does an air ambulance transfer cost?

Do you provide a written proposal?
Yes, It is important to obtain a written quotation so that you understand exactly what is included in a proposal. Global Air Rescue will provide a written quotation for every trip.
How do I pay for air ambulance services?
Global Air Rescue accepts credit cards, bank wire transfers and cash. A combination of payment methods is acceptable. All services are paid for prior to aircraft dispatch.
